Here's a up-close look into our Wedding Style Magazine couture bridal stylized shoot at a Pasadena, California mansion estate. I am sharing what it is like to work with well-known celebrity photographer Bradford Rogne including some secret behind-the-scenes pictures. Also - I will let you in on a few pro tips for high fashion bridal makeup.

Working with celebrity photographer Bradford Rogne is always a treat! His work has been published in several magazines such as OUT, Allure, Life & Style, and InStyle. You can definitely see his fashion photography background speaking through the pictures. Bradford turned this bridal shoot into extraordinary luxury fashion editorial. Not to mention he is the sweetest person to work with!

Doing makeup for a 'Bradford Rogne' photo shoot comes with very high standards as Bradford himself used to be (and still is) a very talented and successful makeup artist. Some recognizable faces he has worked on include Christina Applegate, Paula Abdul, Charlize Theron, Will Smith, and Morgan Freeman. So please relax, stay calm and don't mess up ;)

Here are some behind the scene pictures and pro makeup tips:

PRO TIP #1 - MAKE YOUR SKIN GLOW and everything else will look flawless. Focusing on your skin is the best thing you can do for your makeup. Use a good hydrating primer & face moisturizer comb and keep the foundation sheer. Stipple on the concealer where it's needed.

Here on our beautiful model Tanya, I used cream pearl highlight on the peaks of her face, then a sheer foundation and finished her off with a creamy bronzer. On the lid I buffed out a water proof gel liner and layered an eye-gloss on top to compliment the highlights of her skin.

PRO TIP # 2 - SKIP THE LIP LINER and your lip will look naturally fuller. Try using a lipstick color that is a shade brighter than your natural lip color. Pop it on with a little highlight on you cupids bow and a touch of gloss in the center for youthfully plush lips.

Here on our beautiful model Tanya, I used my finger the press in the lip color almost like it was a stain and then I add a lip oil treatment on top for shine.

PRO TIP #3 DO A VOGUE BROW, NOT AN "INSTA" BROW. Doing your eyebrows too dark can be aging. Use a brow pencil to draw in small strokes for any missing hair and finish off with a clear brow gel. If you want your makeup to look like a high fashion model, then look how the makeup is done in a fashion magazine.

Here on our beautiful model Tanya, I swept over her brow with a light layer of foundation before using a taupe pencil and a clear brow gel. The foundation base will allow for a smoother application of the brow products.

PRO TIP #4 OPEN YOUR EYES WITH A NUDE LINER even when you do a smokey eye. Black will close the eye and white is too bold. Nude is the happy medium that works every time to expand and naturally draw attention to the eyes.
